Johan: Oh yes, I finally got the delivery of "Skinny Puppy: Puppy Gristle"! Man, what noise, it's great! Not for the faint-hearted, though.

Johan: Spent last weekend in Paris with a couple of friends. Great weather, just relaxin'! Almost burned myself, which is not good for my tattoos... This week I have been upgrading my operating system, it went fine except for that my main piece of sequencer and sound generation software won't start anymore... it kind of throws a spanner in the mechanics as I was working on extending the song to fit in some "attitude atmospherics"... crap! I will get it sorted in the weekend and get the whole thing finished, there is not much left now...

I too am looking forward to the release of Reason 2.0! This is one kick-a** piece of software, I remember back in the late 80's when I started fiddling with music technology I was dreaming of a situation where I didn't have to write down all the connections and settings I had to make for a song. Reason gives you a snapshot of the whole setup, wiring, mixer and effect settings, synth and sampler patches, automation, the works!! How times have changed...

hehe...It seems that the release of Reason 2.0 is close at hand. I'm very keen on trying a rewire-configuration with Cubase. Working mainly in Cubase and using the very interesting NN-19XT as a "passsive" sampler module via rewire. I Pretty sure this can be done. Sometime in a golden and not-yet-quite-here-yet future I hope the Propellerhead-guys (are there any propellerhead-chix hmm? prolly not;-)) implement some kind of HD-recording device into Reason. On a personal level it's been a lot of social stuff, going out etc. I really need to call J-man and make enquiries about the progress on "Bleak house". LUNCH!!

ps. Ah indeed Where does drummers come from? The best drummers probably have deaf parents. Some drummers, I am certain, come from very remote and isolated areas with very few people. This theory explains their often asocial behaviour. Their lack of intellectual capabibilitititititititities (Argh I'm subjected to a bad-loop-conspiracy!) is most certainly due to the inbreeding of said areas. OK, sorry about these bad-drummer jokes. Next time I'll come down really hard on bass players, just to even the score:-) bye...
